  In the midst of your busy life take time to dance.  Forget about life's worries for an hour or two and relieve the stress of work and everyday life.

  Dancing is a fun activity for all ages and all occasions.  

  Fill the Gap!  Dancing fills social, mental, and physical gaps.  Select the dance style that fits your personality.  Smooth, novelty, rhythm, aerobic line dance, or country style of dances.

  Awaken your leisure time with enhanced fun dance skills for weddings, cruises, proms, pro/am or am/am competitions, social events, holidays,
  class or family reunions.

September Classes taught by Jim and Suzi Benjamin:

Sundays: 

• Beginner Ballroom 1 Class with Jim and Suzi from 12:30-2:00  This class will start September 12th at the West Des Moines Community Center in the ballroom located off 5th street in Valley Junction  The ballroom is upstairs and is a large ballroom providing lots of space for dancing.  This class will teach the basic ballroom dances of Foxtrot, East Coast Swing, Waltz, Rumba, Tango, and Cha Cha.  In addition, Merengue, (a slow Salsa Dance) will be added to the curriculum.   We will teach 3-5 figures in each dance during the 7 weeks.   The class will begin with a review of the previous weeks figures and then teach for an hour or so.  The last 20-25 minutes of the class will be for practice of the figures learned this week as well as previous weeks.   This 7 week class costs $100 per couple and is a somewhat accelerated course of our normal 8 week Beginner Ballroom 1 class.

Fridays:

• Beginner Ballroom 1 Class with Jim and Suzi from 6:30-8:00  This class will start September 10th at the YMCA in Newton, Iowa.  This class will teach the basic ballroom dances of Foxtrot, East Coast Swing, Waltz, Rumba, Tango, and Cha Cha.  In addition, Merengue, (a slow Salsa Dance) will be added to the curriculum.   We will teach 3-5 figures in each dance during the 8 weeks.   The class will begin with a review of the previous weeks figures and then teach for an hour or so.  The last 20-25 minutes of the class will be for practice of the figures learned this week as well as previous weeks.   This 8 week class costs $120 if you are a member of the YMCA or $140 otherwise.
